X | XXX | XXXX | D This is an unusual note not often taught to players. It is obtained by "half-holing" the chanter at a 45 degree angle against the popping strap. I use it in the sequence D C# D as an alternative to a cran in Slavko's Hat. Tuning usually a bit sharp dependant on skill.
